Barcelona will not enter bidding war to sign Eduardo Conceicao

Barcelona have laid out their conditions for Eduardo Conceicao’s entourage as they are uninterested in entering into a bidding war.

Palmeiras are probably preparing to sell another one of their high-profile young talents, in Eduardo Conceicao, with a host of top teams from England and Europe keen. As per Sport via Sport Witness, one of the suitors, Barcelona, have reportedly laid out their conditions to the player’s entourage as they are uninterested in entering into a bidding war with the likes of Manchester City and others.

Eduardo Conceicao is already creating ripples in the market with his rising performances for Palmeiras’ U-20 squad. He has five goals and three assists across 13 games for that age group, which has attracted interest from some high-profile clubs.

Despite an initial stance of the player not being for sale, Palmeiras are reportedly looking at a fee close to €50 million to part ways with the talented left winger. The idea of another huge sale of one of their rather untested teenagers might be on the cards, especially with teams like Manchester City and Barcelona showing huge interest.

Manchester City are seen as front-runners amid further interest from Chelsea and Newcastle United in England. Pep Guardiola’s side were reportedly in talks with Conceicao, which might suggest there have been ongoing discussions with his entourage.

However, Barcelona’s interest could add a new twist to the tale, with the Catalans certainly keen to bring the talented teenager to the Camp Nou. Much like Manchester City, the Spanish side also have good relations with Palmeiras, with both clubs doing business with the Brazilian side in the recent past.

Barcelona set conditions for Eduardo Conceicao

Barcelona have taken a further step to cement their interest, having laid out their conditions for signing the teenager. While neither they nor Manchester City can land the winger until January 2029, the Catalans are not interested in a bidding war for the player, something they have made clear to his entourage.

Barcelona have also insisted that for any move to materialise, the €50 million-rated Brazilian teenage sensation must reject all other offers from English clubs, including Manchester City. However, there are considerable doubts whether the Catalans can enter into the race given their financial standing at this point, as Palmeiras’ current demands for Conceicao, even if reduced, might prove difficult for the Spaniards.
