Tottenham considering €40-50 million move for Takefusa Kubo

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Real Sociedad winger Takefusa Kubo.

The 24-year-old Japanese international has done well for the Spanish club, and he has been linked with a move to the Premier League before as well. According to a report from Fichajes, Tottenham are hoping to secure his signature in a €40-50 million deal.

It is no secret that they need more cutting-edge in the final third and could prove to be a useful acquisition. He can operate as the right-sided attacker as well as in the central attacking midfield role. He will help create opportunities for his teammates and add technical ability to the team. Kubo has two goals and four assists in La Liga this season.

Tottenham have struggled in attack this season and need to add more creativity. They will need to invest in a consistent goal scorer as well. The Japanese international has shown his quality in La Liga, and he has the technical attributes to play in the Premier League as well. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can wrap up the move in the summer.

The Japanese attacker is a hard-working player who will help out defensively as well. Kubo has also been linked with Liverpool.

Can the Spurs convince Kubo to join?

However, they will need to secure safety in the top flight in order to get the deal done. They cannot expect the 24-year-old Japanese international to join them in the championship. He’s playing for a competitive Spanish club in the top half of the table, and he will not want to move to the second division of English football.

That said, the opportunity to play in the Premier League will be quite exciting for the player. He is entering the peak years of his career, and he could make an immediate impact. Regular football in England could help him improve further. The player must seek assurances on game time from Tottenham before joining the club. They already have Mohammed Kudus at their disposal, and the Ghana International is the first-choice right-winger at the club.

Kubo will not want to sit on the bench at Tottenham. He has the ability to slot into the left-wing role as well. They need a dynamic attacker like him, and the Japanese star could be a handy option.
