Newcastle United set to demand over £50-55 million for Lewis Hall

Newcastle United are expected to demand at least £50-55 million to consider the sale of in-demand left-back Lewis Hall.

Newcastle United could be up against the odds with regard to keeping hold of their best players. There are quite a few linked with a move away, including Lewis Hall, with the Magpies set to demand at least £50-55 million, as per Caught Offside, to even consider opening negotiations with suitors for the in-demand left-back.

Newcastle United are gearing up towards a key summer window that could see them lose several of their top-rated stars. The notion of missing out on Champions League football further gained ground following their loss to Crystal Palace at the weekend, as without top-tier European football, they could weaken their hand in keeping hold of their best players.

Names like Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali, Valentino Livramento, and Lewis Hall are among the prominent names linked with a move away. The latter, in particular, has tremendous interest from within the Premier League. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City are all keen to explore a move, with Newcastle United now reportedly hinting at a price point.

Newcastle United are expecting to start negotiations from the £50-55 million mark, which would be reasonable enough for a top left-back target for some of those clubs. The Magpies have no interest in selling Lewis Hall, although the realities of their situation could bring about a different stance altogether.

Hall is a key member of Eddie Howe’s side and has been growing consistently into one of the best left-backs in the Premier League since he arrived at St. James’ Park. However, the opportunity to keep playing in the Champions League as well as joining one of the top six sides would represent a significant career jump for the 21-year-old Newcastle United wide man.

Who are interested in Lewis Hall?

Arsenal and Chelsea have been mentioned as suitors for quite some time now, and Liverpool are also keen on Hall. The latter are set to lose Andrew Robertson as a free agent in the summer, which opens up an opportunity to bring in someone to add competition for the left-back slot despite the presence of Milos Kerkez.

Barcelona are also in the mix, but the Premier League might be a viable destination, especially if Arsenal or Chelsea make the move. The latter is his former side where he came through as a youngster, while the former are one of the teams confirmed to play in next season’s Champions League and once again in the mix to challenge for the Premier League title.
