Manchester United ready to submit offer to sign Joao Felix

Manchester United will reportedly look to sign 26-year-old Portuguese international Joao Felix from Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, in-form Al-Nassr attacker Joao Felix is the subject of interest from Manchester United. The Red Devils are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile forward ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The latest report has revealed that Manchester United will soon submit offers to Felix’s entourage and Al-Nassr to expedite a summer move. Meanwhile, the former Chelsea and Atletico Madrid attacker is keen on returning to the Premier League after the 2025/26 season.

Joao Felix and his Saudi revival

Joao Felix has resurrected his stuttering fortunes since joining Al-Nassr from Chelsea last summer. Once among the world’s most promising prodigies, the 26-year-old failed to hit the heights of his spell with SL Benfica after leaving the Primeira Liga club over half a dozen years ago, struggling during his stints with Atletico Madrid and Chelsea.

However, Felix has been exceptional at Al-Nassr this season, scoring 21 goals and providing 15 assists in 37 appearances across all competitions. So, it is hardly surprising that the Portuguese international’s exploits have piqued the attention of a few high-profile clubs, with Manchester United among the prospective suitors vying for his signature.

Will Felix return to the Premier League this year?

Manchester United’s interest in Joao Felix makes some sense. The Red Devils are scouring the market for a versatile attacker, as they need an average of two top-quality players for each position ahead of a possible return to the UEFA Champions League. So, while Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko, and Amad Diallo have done well this season, they must beef up their offensive unit.

With Manchester United ready to submit offers to Felix and Al-Nassr, negotiations for a summer move are on the cards. However, the Premier League heavyweights should focus on signing an out-and-out left winger, as they need a quality alternative to Cunha on that side.

Recent reports have linked Manchester United with Andreas Schjelderup, and the Benfica winger is a more suitable target for the English outfit’s needs. Additionally, Felix has failed to make his mark in his previous stints in the Premier League, and the 26-year-old Portuguese international may be a risky signing for Manchester United.
