Aston Villa, Everton rival Tottenham in Crysencio Summerville race

Aston Villa and Everton will reportedly compete with Tottenham Hotspur in the battle for the signature of 24-year-old West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Crysencio Summerville is the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur. However, the North London club will face stiff competition from Aston Villa and Everton in the battle for the signature of the 24-year-old West Ham United winger. Meanwhile, several high-profile European clubs are also keen on signing the former Leeds United attacker.

How has Crysencio Summerville fared at West Ham United?

Crysencio Summerville has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining West Ham United in a deal worth £25 million in August 2024. The Dutchman spent his formative years in his homeland but rose in prominence during his fruitful spell with Leeds United. However, the 24-year-old winger’s stint with West Ham has not been a bed of roses, and he has had to bide his time at the East London club.

Summerville has often scored goals for fun in recent weeks, accumulating a solid tally of seven goals and four assists in 27 appearances this season. Meanwhile, the Dutch winger’s exploits have piqued the attention of several well-known clubs, with Aston Villa, Everton, and Tottenham Hotspur among the prospective suitors vying for his signature.

Move across the Premier League on the cards?

Aston Villa will dip into the market for a versatile attacker in the summer transfer window, as Unai Emery wants more productivity from the flanks. The Villans have been over-dependent on Morgan Rogers this season, and they must sign someone who can take the load off the English international. Additionally, Jadon Sancho may not complete a permanent move to Aston Villa, making Summerville a viable target.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur wanted to sign Crysencio Summerville in the winter transfer window, but the deal did not materialise. The continued interest makes sense, as the Lilywhites have yet to fill Son Heung-min’s void since the South Korean international joined LAFC last summer. Additionally, Richarlison’s long-term future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is uncertain.

As for Everton, it is unclear if Jack Grealish will complete a permanent move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, even though the Toffees are confident of keeping him. Even if Grealish remains at Everton, the Merseyside club must sign a productive attacker this summer, as they are aspiring to compete in Europe next season.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth, Brentford, Atalanta, Napoli, Marseille, and Villarreal are also interested in Summerville. However, it is unclear how much West Ham will demand for the in-form Dutch attacker in the coming months. With the 24-year-old having over three years left on his contract with the Hammers, their valuation should be high unless they suffer relegation from the Premier League.
