Arsenal initiate move to sign Senny Mayulu, submit offer

Arsenal will reportedly look to sign 19-year-old French midfield sensation Senny Mayulu from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by French outlet Media Foot, Paris Saint-Germain prodigy Senny Mayulu is the subject of interest from Arsenal. The Gunners are eager to reinforce their first-team squad by signing a versatile midfielder in the coming months, and they have initiated their move for the 19-year-old wonderkid by submitting an offer to his entourage.

The report has revealed that the Frenchman is in talks with PSG to extend his contract, which expires in less than 18 months. However, Mayulu has a “fear of new competition and reduced playing time” ahead of the 2026/27 season, and he will “take time” to consider Arsenal’s offer and PSG’s contract talks.

Senny Mayulu has established himself as one of the best young prospects in his homeland since breaking into the first-team squad at Paris Saint-Germain. Born in Le Blanc-Mesnil, the teenage prospect passed through the academies at US Saint-Denis and AF Épinay-sur-Seine before graduating from the youth division at PSG, making his senior bow in January 2024.

The 19-year-old has grown in stature at PSG this season, amassing nearly 2,000 minutes of game time in 32 appearances across all competitions while chipping in with five goals and five assists. Mayulu’s ability to play as a midfielder and an attacker has made him an appealing target for his prospective suitors, with Arsenal vying for the French prodigy’s signature.

Arsenal’s interest in Senny Mayulu is understandable. The Gunners are scouring the market for a versatile midfielder heading into the summer transfer window, as Christian Norgaard is on the wrong side of 30. Additionally, the Danish midfielder has not featured much for the North London club this season.

Several candidates, including Ayyoub Bouaddi, have thus emerged on Arsenal’s wishlist, with Mayulu also a viable target.
