According to a report by TEAMtalk, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Taras Mykhavko. The two Premier League giants are keen on reinforcing their defensive units by signing a centre-back in the summer transfer window. So, the 20-year-old Dynamo Kyiv defender has emerged as a target for them.

Who is Taras Mykhavko?

Taras Mykhavko is the latest promising prospect to rise in prominence in his homeland. Born in Dobrogostiv, the young defensive sensation spent his formative years in Ukraine, passing through the academies at Skala Morshyn and FK Lviv before graduating from the youth division at Dynamo Kyiv.

The 20-year-old has made over 50 appearances for Dynamo Kyiv thus far while chipping in with four goals and two assists. Meanwhile, Mykhavko has already broken into his national side, making one appearance for Ukraine. The youngster’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Premier League move on the horizon?

Chelsea will dip into the market for a centre-back in the summer transfer window, as they want a long-term central defensive partner for Levi Colwill. Meanwhile, Axel Disasi has no future at the West London club, while Benoit Badiashile may depart from Stamford Bridge this summer. Several candidates, including Murillo, have thus emerged on Chelsea’s wishlist, with Mykhavko also a viable target.

Meanwhile, Taras Mykhavko has been on Manchester United’s wishlist for a long time. The continued interest makes sense, as Harry Maguire is on the wrong side of 30 and approaching the twilight of his career. Several candidates have thus emerged on Manchester United’s wishlist, with Mykhavko also an option worth considering.

As for Tottenham Hotspur, Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven face an uncertain future at the North London club, with the former ready to leave this summer. So, Tottenham must dip into the market for a centre-back this summer, with Mykhavko emerging as a viable target.

While clubs in Spain, Italy and Germany are also tracking Mykhavko’s progress, a move to the Premier League is likelier for the youngster. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the 20-year-old Ukrainian international.
