Arsenal, Liverpool told to pay €50 million to sign Finn Jeltsch

Arsenal and Liverpool are ready to compete in the race for Finn Jeltsch, with the highly rated centre-back making his mark at VfB Stuttgart.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Finn Jeltsch is attracting considerable interest from Premier League heavyweights Arsenal and Liverpool. Both English clubs are eager to add young defensive talent to their squads, and they have observed the Stuttgart star on multiple occasions, with the 19-year-old centre-back set to cost around €50 million.

Stuttgart are aware of the growing interest in their 19-year-old centre-back Finn Jeltsch, following some impressive performances in the first team. Having signed him in the January transfer window of 2025 from Nuremberg, the young defender has blossomed into one of the regular performers for the Bundesliga side.

Arsenal and Liverpool were recently linked with Jeltsch, and both Premier League heavyweights are eager to continue adding to their defences. A young star for one of the centre-back positions is something the two teams are keen on, with Liverpool eager to follow up on the recent agreement for Jeremy Jacquet by bringing in another promising defender for the present and future.

Liverpool are also linked with Club Brugge’s Joel Ordonez as an option, which is a clear indication of their plans ahead of the summer. The Reds are also interested in a more senior centre-back owing to the situation surrounding the ageing Virgil van Dijk and the possibility of Ibrahima Konate leaving on a free transfer in the close season.

Arsenal are also keen on Jeltsch despite their abundance of defensive options accumulated during Mikel Arteta’s reign. They also have a few promising prospects emerging from the academy, but they are interested in a young defender close to establishing himself as a regular in the first team, as they are also chasing Werder Bremen’s Karim Coulibaly.

Finn Jeltsch to leave VfB Stuttgart?

Stuttgart are aware of the growing interest in Finn Jeltsch, with domestic giants Bayern Munich also keen on the 19-year-old centre-back. The Bundesliga giants are eager to keep hold of Jeltsch for at least one more season, but they might be open to a sale if the offer reaches the €50 million mark.

The price point will be seen as somewhat steep, which could lead to negotiations with Stuttgart, as Liverpool and Arsenal look to bring in the 19-year-old centre-back. It remains to be seen whether all the scouting of the player leads to a formal approach, with Jeltsch promising to develop into a proper top-level player in the near future.
