Manchester City already have a star-studded squad, but they are constantly on the lookout for players who can help further bolster their ranks. According to a report from Fichajes, the Premier League giants have identified Diego Gomez as an option to strengthen their midfield.
Given his performances for Brighton, City are plotting a raid on the Seagulls. Pep Guardiola’s team already initiated a move to sign the 22-year-old, who hasn’t looked back since joining the English club at the start of 2025.
Gomez made a name for himself while playing for Inter Miami before making the move to England. Over the last 14 months, the Paraguayan international has played 50 games for the Seagulls and has even contributed towards 12 goals.
While he prefers playing as a central midfielder, he is capable enough to take up any role in midfield and is equally effective on the flanks. Thanks to his impressive performances, massive potential and versatility, multiple top clubs now want to sign him.
