According to a report by Sabah, as relayed by Sport Witness, Omar Marmoush is the subject of interest from Fenerbahce. The Turkish Super Lig giants are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker in the winter transfer window. So, the 26-year-old Manchester City forward has emerged as a target for them.
The Yellow Canaries are ready to offer €30 million to secure his services. Meanwhile, a report by Suleyman Rodop has also linked the Cairo native with Galatasaray, with the Turkish Super Lig champions also keen on signing a versatile attacker in the winter transfer window. The latest report has boosted the Turkish clubs’ prospects, as Pep Guardiola has sanctioned Marmoush’s departure from the Etihad.
How has Omar Marmoush fared at Manchester City?
Omar Marmoush has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt in a deal worth €70 million in January 2025. The 26-year-old arrived at the Etihad amid hype surrounding him after his productive stint with the Bundesliga club, and he was a rare bright spot for City in the second half of the 2024/25 season.
However, Marmoush has dropped in the pecking order this term, managing only 483 minutes of game time in 17 appearances across all competitions thus far, chipping in with only two goals and one assist. Nevertheless, the Egyptian attacker’s stock remains high, with Fenerbahce and Galatasaray among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the winter transfer window.
Turkish adventure on the horizon?
Fenerbahce’s interest in Omar Marmoush is understandable. The Turkish Super Lig outfit will dip into the market for a versatile attacker in the final days of the winter transfer window, as they are preparing to part ways with Youssef En-Nesyri amid his links with Everton, Napoli, and Juventus. Several candidates have thus emerged on Fenerbahce’s radar, with Marmoush also a viable target.
As for Galatasaray, the Turkish Super Lig champions are also keen on signing a versatile attacker this month, as Okan Buruk wants more firepower in the final third for the second half of the 2025/26 season. Several candidates, including Crysencio Summerville, have thus emerged on Galatasaray’s wishlist, with Marmoush also an option worth considering.
Meanwhile, the report by Sabah has revealed that Fenerbahce will soon submit a bid worth €30 million to secure Marmoush’s services. As for the 26-year-old Egyptian international, Pep Guardiola is reportedly ready to sanction his exit this month, thus boosting the prospects of the two Turkish clubs. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the player.
