Liam Rosenior’s Chelsea are all set for an intense transfer battle as they look to sign Feyenoord winger Anis Hadj Moussa.
Anis Hadj Moussa’s sensational rise hasn’t gone unnoticed. Multiple top clubs from across Europe have been keeping tabs on the Algerian winger, who has been doing wonders for both club and country.
Chelsea are one of the clubs that are interested in acquiring his services, and according to Florian Plettenberg, the Blues are all set to battle Olympique Marseille and SL Benfica in their pursuit of the 23-year-old winger.
Moussa hasn’t looked back since joining Feyenoord in the summer of 2024. In his debut campaign, he was involved in a total of 44 matches and ended up contributing towards 17 goals.
While he is only in his second season at the club, the 23-year-old has already led them on a few occasions, and he was certainly on fire before heading for the African Cup of Nations. He has ten goal contributions so far this season, and his performances have placed him on the radar of quite a few top clubs.
With his contract running until the summerof 2030, Feyenoord are in complete control of his future. While they are unlikely to sanction a mid-season move, he is certainly one to watch out for ahead of the next summer transfer window.
Chelsea want to beat the competition to sign Moussa
Chelsea, Marseille and Benfica are massive admirers of the young winger, who has the knack of taking on defenders and has the pace and the dribbling skills to go past them. While the French and Portuguese clubs can offer him a more prominent role, they can’t really compete with the London club in terms of finances.
Since the Blues’ project revolves around signing the best young players, their interest in the Algerian certainly makes a lot of sense. However, it will be interesting to see if they can beat other top clubs in the race for his signature.
Meanwhile, the player’s camp seems set to make the move to a bigger club in the near future, as his agent Makram Naceur is acting as an intermediary in talks with interested clubs. While the majority of those talks have been held with German clubs, Chelsea are firmly in the race to sign him.
