Ruben Loftus-Cheek offered to Aston Villa, Manchester United, Everton, Newcastle United

Intermediaries have reportedly offered Aston Villa, Everton, Manchester United, and Newcastle United the chance to sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek from AC Milan this month.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Ruben Loftus-Cheek may return to the Premier League this month. Intermediaries have offered Aston Villa, Everton, Manchester United, Newcastle United, and three other English top-flight clubs the chance to sign the 29-year-old midfielder from AC Milan in the winter transfer window, with the Rossoneri open to his departure.

How has Ruben Loftus-Cheek fared at AC Milan?

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining AC Milan from Chelsea in a deal worth £15 million in July 2023. The Englishman was once among the most promising midfielders in his homeland during his time in Chelsea’s fabled academy. However, fitness issues plagued the player for several years, stunting his progress.

The 29-year-old has shown flashes of brilliance during his spell with AC Milan, but he has never been an undisputed first-choice starter for the Rossoneri. Loftus-Cheek has managed only 1,173 minutes of game time across 22 appearances thus far in the 2025/26 season. So, it is hardly surprising that the English midfielder is ready to leave AC Milan this month, and intermediaries have offered him to Aston Villa, Everton, Manchester United, and Newcastle United.

Premier League return on the horizon?

Aston Villa will aim to sign a midfielder in the winter transfer window after losing the race to sign Conor Gallagher to Tottenham Hotspur. While several candidates are on the West Midlands club’s wishlist, Loftus-Cheek is an option worth considering. As for Everton, Idrissa Gueye is on the wrong side of 30 and approaching the twilight of his career.

Additionally, James Garner’s long-term future has left Everton in a spot of bother amid his links with Manchester United. Speaking of Manchester United, the Red Devils are keen on signing a midfielder in the winter transfer window, as Manuel Ugarte has failed to make his mark in the last 18 months. So, Ruben Loftus-Cheek is an option worth considering for Manchester United.

As for Newcastle United, Joe Willock will likely depart from St. James’ Park in the winter transfer window, as he wants to embark on a new adventure. Additionally, Joelinton’s long-term future is uncertain. So, with Newcastle United struggling to comply with PSR, a cost-effective deal for Loftus-Cheek is viable amid the Englishman’s desire to leave AC Milan.

Recent reports have also suggested that Loftus-Cheek may join Juventus in a swap deal involving Federico Gatti. Meanwhile, intermediaries have also offered the 29-year-old English midfielder to Brentford, Fulham, and Sunderland. So, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the AC Milan midfielder.
