Chelsea table €120 million bid to sign Federico Valverde

Chelsea are exploring the idea of a potential move for Federico Valverde, with suggestions that they are willing to spend as much as €120 million.

According to Fichajes, Federico Valverde is back on Chelsea’s radar as the West Londoners are ready to explore a move for the 27-year-old Real Madrid utility man. The report claims the Blues are willing to fork out at least €120 million on the versatile midfielder in a bid to break the transfer market and strengthen their midfield.

Federico Valverde is a player that most of the top clubs around Europe would want in their team. Having risen into prominence at Real Madrid, the Uruguayan is considered one of the top players at the club as things stand, and seemingly carries the indispensable tag on his shoulders.

Chelsea have had eyes on Valverde for a long time, with earlier reports claiming they might even consider a deal for the 27-year-old Real Madrid utility man, with Enzo Fernandez going the other way. The Argentine remains a player of interest for the Spanish giants, who are not keen to sell Valverde.

The Blues are not alone in the mix, as several other of their Premier League rivals hold an interest in FedericoValverde. Manchester City were keen earlier, and could retain an admiration ahead of next summer if a door opens in their favour.

Manchester United are also ready to spend big to secure Valverde as one of their marquee signings in the near future. However, it is Chelsea who are now exploring the idea of signing the South Americna midfielder, with suggestions that they are willing to spend around €120 million on the Uruguayan.

Will Real Madrid sell Federico Valverde?

Real Madrid consider Valverde untouchable and values him highly enough not to entertain any offers. Even if the idea of a €120 million offer from Chelsea is likely to turn their heads and even ensue discussions over the potential idea to accept it, Florentino Perez may not want to disrupt their long-term planning with a sale of the influential midfielder.

While Chelsea may put forward that big offer for the 27-year-old midfielder, Real Madrid are likely to turn down those overtures without hesitation. Hence, Federico Valverde is widely expected to stay put, and the midfielder is seemingly happy with life in Madrid as well as his important role at the club.
