Chelsea looking to bring Kendry Paez back from loan, Ipswich Town interested

Chelsea are looking to recall Kendry Paez from his loan at Strasbourg and are pondering sending him to another club this month, as Ipswich Town are interested.

According to Mustafa Karatas, Kendry Paez could be recalled from his loan spell at Strasbourg, as Chelsea plans on another temporary spell for the promising young player. Ipswich Town are interested in taking the Ecuadorian talent to the club to help them in the second part of the season.

Kendy Paez is widely seen as one of the most talented players to come out of Ecuador. Chelsea did well in snapping up the youngster very early in his development career, and were ready to bide their time before he came to Stamford Bridge.

He arrived from Ecuador last summer, as Chelsea sent him on loan to sister-club Strasbourg in France, where he has been getting the grip of European football. The versatile attacker has not been the absolute starter over at the Ligue 1 side, but has been consistently performing at decent levels.

However, Chelsea are preparing another loan move for the promising young player, as they plan on recalling him from his spell at Strasbourg. There are a few teams interested in Ipswich Town in the frame to take the Ecuadorian on board for the remainder of the season.

Chelsea widely views Paez as a big name for the future of the club and are invested in improving his game in the present. Ipswich Town could be a good option with the Championship side pushing for an immediate promotion after their relegation from the top flight last season.

Are Chelsea making the right decision?

Chelsea are mindful of the developmental aspect of Paez’s future, as they are taking a concerted decision by recalling him from Strasbourg. While he has performed decently while at Strasbourg, he might want to be tested in the English league, specifically the Championship.

Incidentally, recalling him from Strasbourg could free up another loan slot between Chelsea and the French side. The Blues now plan to send a new player there, which could allow them to aid the development side of their loan system in the second half of the season.
