Manchester City will reportedly look to sign 18-year-old French striker prodigy Mathys Detourbet from sister club Troyes this year, with Hugo Viana working on a deal.
According to an update by reputed French journalist Loic Tanzi, Mathys Detourbet is the subject of interest from Manchester City. The Citizens are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a young striker in the next two transfer windows. So, the 18-year-old Troyes attacking sensation has emerged as a target for the Premier League outfit.
The report has revealed that the Citizens are in pole position to sign the teenage prospect from their sister club. Hugo Viana is working on the deal to sign Detourbet, and he is “now negotiating for the future of the Frenchman and wants him to end up at Manchester City” in the coming months amid his links with AS Monaco, AS Roma, and German clubs.

Mathys Detourbet is the latest promising attacker to rise in prominence in his homeland. A native of Troyes, the youngster has spent his formative years thus far in his hometown, starting his youth career with ES Municipaux Troyes before rising through the ranks at ESTAC Troyes in the past decade and breaking into the Ligue 2 club’s first-team squad.
The 18-year-old has already made 34 appearances for Troyes while chipping in with one goal and three assists.
