Jack Grealish loving life at Everton, Toffees happy with him

Jack Grealish is comfortable with life at Merseyside, with Everton already thinking about negotiating with Manchester City over a permanent move.

According to TEAMtalk, Jack Grealish is happy with Everton and life in Merseyside, as the club are already thinking about his future. The attacker is on loan from Manchester City, with the Toffees able to make his loan permanent should they trigger a £50 million clause in the contract, something they are eager to negotiate.

Jack Grealish became the first £100 million transfer in British football history, and despite his ups and downs, he has been a good enough signing for Manchester City. With the game somewhat moving away from the attacker’s style, Pep Guardiola chose to send him out of the club, with Everton emerging as the best possible option.

There may have been other clubs in the mix, but the prospect of gaining an important place under David Moyes this season may have appealed to Grealish. The loan deal that saw Everton take the attacker from Manchester City for the season also includes a £50 million purchase option, which does allow the Toffees first dibs on the England international.

Grealish has been a mainstay at Everton, and one of the first names on the team sheet this season. With two goals and four assists in 16 Premier League games, he has been one of their better performers. However, controversy stuck in the aftermath of the £50 million-rated Manchester City misfit missing the draw against Burnley, even as Moyes insisted he was ill.

A tabloid story claimed he was spotted outside a nightclub, which sparked controversy, although that has since been dismissed. The story’s claim was rebuffed as Grealish’s celebrations were recorded much earlier and falsely reported in the media. While there was an attempt to destabilise the player at Everton, the Englishman is reportedly very happy with life at the club and in Merseyside.

Everton planning Jack Grealish’s future?

Everton are considering talks with Manchester City and had earlier hoped they could get him for a reduced fee. The £50 million price point in his contract may seem a bit steep, as the Toffees are hoping to negotiate it down to a respectable sum, although there is competition from others.

Jack Grealish is currently happy with life at Merseyside and could be open to staying here for the long term future. Should the English international prefer a switch to Everton only, then Manchester City may have no choice but to reduce the fee, given the lack of interest from elsewhere as well as the player’s depreciating value in the market.
