Leeds United and West Ham United have been offered the chance to sign Artem Dovbyk, with AS Roma eager to offload the Ukrainian striker.
According to TEAMtalk, Artem Dovbyk has been offered to the likes of West Ham United and Leeds United in an effort to end his time at AS Roma. The Serie A giants are open to a sale of the striker who cost them £33 million 18 months ago, as they want to bring in fresh faces in January.
AS Roma are thinking deeply about the changes they can make to their forward line ahead of the January window. They are willing to create space for the additions of new talents from the market, with Artem Dovbyk now seen as the player they could part ways with.
The 28-year-old striker, who only arrived 18 months ago in a £33 million deal from Girona, had a solid first season. However, he has fallen off since the arrival of Gian Piero Gasperini in the summer, with the AS Roma boss keen on bringing in a new striker to replace Dovbyk in January.
AS Roma have identified Joshua Zirkzee as the potential target for January, meaning they could create space for the Dutchman’s arrival with the departure of Artem Dovbyk. The 28-year-old has now been offered to the likes of Leeds United and West Ham United in an effort to help the striker get a move to the Premier League, as other clubs have also been mentioned.
West Ham United are looking to bring in a new striker ahead of the January transfer window, as Niclas Fullkrug will play for AC Milan in the second half of the 2025/26 season. The Hammers have seen links to numerous names over the last many weeks, with Dovbyk one of those being linked with a move to the London Stadium.
Artem Dovbyk to the Premier League?
Dovbyk could be a solid addition to one of the Premier League sides, although the links to Leeds United could prove a bit tricky. It’s true that Daniel Farke’s side were looking for a new striker a few weeks ago, but the red-hot form of Dominic Calvert-Lewin has somewhat softened their stance on the matter.
However, Calvert-Lewin’s chequered injury record could push Leeds United towards considering a potential move for the likes of Artem Dovbyk. However, it remains to be seen what sort of arrangement Roma desire, as they would ideally prefer a permanent sale of the Ukrainian striker to raise funds for new additions.
