Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Juventus attacking mainstay Kenan Yildiz.
Kenan Yildiz’s sensational rise and his exceptional performances for Juventus have placed him on the radar of some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham are all keen on his signature.
However, all three English clubs are set to face frustration in their pursuit, as Yildiz wants to continue at the Turin-based club despite his complicated contract situation, as per a report from TEAMtalk.
Kenan Yildiz has only gone from strength to strength since joining Juventus from the Bayern Munich youth setup. He went up the ranks at some pace and has been a part of their first team since 2023. The Turkish gem has already established himself as one of their mainstays, and his consistent performances have not gone unnoticed.
While the Turk prefers playing out wide on the left flank, he is equally effective anywhere in attack. The majority of his appearances this season have come as a left-winger or as a second striker, and he has 12 goal contributions in his 22 outings.
His current deal runs until the summer of 2029, but Juventus seem keen on securing his long-term future, and even Yildiz is waiting for a much-deserved pay hike. Following the appointment of Marco Ottolini as Juventus’s new sporting director, the club are expected to hold talks with the Turkish international’s camp.
The player also seeks clarity of his contract situation and is looking for a salary increase to around €6 million per year. If the Old Lady fail to offer him something close to that figure, he could be available in the transfer market.
Premier League trio remain keen on Yildiz
Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Arsenal are keeping tabs on his situation and would pounce on the opportunity to sign one of the best young forwards in the world. Chelsea and Tottenham seem to have concrete interest in him, while the Gunners are closely monitoring him.
While all three Premier League clubs are aware that Yildiz wants to stay at Turin for now, they are still willing to try their luck if renewal talks do not go as planned. While the Blues even made an offer for him back in the day, Juventus were looking for at least €90 million, which made things quite difficult.
Even if the Turkish international becomes available, the Old Lady are unlikely to lower their demands. As a result, it will be interesting to see which of the three clubs ends up breaking the bank for the 20-year-old.
