Everton will reportedly look to sign 25-year-old English right-back Jayden Bogle from Leeds United in the winter transfer window.
According to a report by Football Insider, Jayden Bogle is the subject of interest from Everton. The Toffees are scouring the market for a right-back heading into the winter transfer window. So, the 25-year-old Leeds United wide player has emerged as a target for the Merseyside outfit.
How has Jayden Bogle fared at Leeds United?
Jayden Bogle has established himself as a pivotal figure since joining Leeds United from Sheffield United in July 2024. A native of Reading, the Englishman spent his formative years in his homeland, passing through the academies at Reading FC and Swindon Town before graduating from the youth division at Derby County.
However, the 25-year-old rose in prominence during his spell with Sheffield United, spending nearly half a decade with the Blades before Leeds United signed him 18 months ago. Bogle has made considerable progress during his spell with the West Yorkshire outfit, having been one of the most consistent performers for Daniel Farke.
The English full-back has made over 50 appearances thus far for Leeds United while chipping in with seven goals and seven assists. Meanwhile, Bogle’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs. Everton will be among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into the winter transfer window.
Move across the Premier League on the cards?
Everton’s interest in Jayden Bogle is understandable. The Toffees are scouring the market for a right-back heading into the winter transfer window, as David Moyes wants an alternative to Jake O’Brien in the position. While O’Brien has been exceptional since arriving from Lyon, the Everton boss is eager to land a player who can recreate Seamus Coleman’s exploits from his peak years.
With Coleman in the twilight of his career and Nathan Patterson struggling with fitness issues throughout his spell with Everton, they must sign a right-back in the coming weeks. Several candidates, including Juanlu Sanchez, have thus emerged on Everton’s radar, with Bogle also a viable target.
However, it is unclear if Leeds United will be open to parting ways with the 25-year-old English full-back midway through the season. Bogle is an ever-present player under Daniel Farke, and with the Whites striving to avoid relegation, it will be surprising to see them selling the Englishman in the winter transfer window.
