The likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona are interested in the defender, with a move in the near future likely to be on the cards. All of those teams are keen on a profile of Palestra’s type, which could suggest a January approach might be in the works.
Given the rise in value of the 20-year-old Serie A defender, it remains to be seen whether either of those interested clubs are ready to make a move. Atalanta may even ask for a higher price, but they have all the power in deciding the young full-back’s future.
Are Atalanta ready to entertain Marco Palestra’s offers?
As things stand, Atalanta are not considering a sale of Palestra as they are in no rush to bring in additional cash into the club. The Bergamo giants are in a healthy position on many fronts, and also view the 20-year-old Serie A defender as a good prospect for their own first team in the future.
Meanwhile, they are expected to turn down any approaches coming in for Palestra, as they feel time at Cagliari would serve the 20-year-old Serie A defender in good standing.
