Leeds United will reportedly compete with Aston Villa and Tottenham in the race to sign 27-year-old Swiss attacker Ruben Vargas from La Liga club Sevilla next year.

Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on signing the Sevilla attacker next year. Ruben Vargas has made considerable progress since joining Sevilla from FC Augsburg earlier this year. The 27-year-old spent his formative years in Switzerland, passing through the academies at FC Adligenswil, FC Luzern, and SC Kriens before graduating from the youth division at FC Luzern. However, the player rose in prominence during his spell with FC Augsburg before moving to La Liga.
