Manchester United and Manchester City have set their eyes on rising midfield talent and Trabzonspor star Christ Inao Oulai.
According to Team Talk, Manchester United and Manchester City could angle for a move to sign Trabzonspor midfielder Christ Inao Oulai. The Premier League giants are tracking the midfielder for some time and are aware of his prospects at their sides, as the Turkish side are set to demand a huge fee.
Just less than 18 months ago, Christ Inao Oulai was playing his football with the Ivory Coast side JMG Abidjan, and now there’s a distinct possibility he arrives in the Premier League sooner rather than later. Trabzonspor took their bet on the 19-year-old African midfield talent in the summer and signed him from French side Bastia.
Little did anyone think he would rise up in stature this soon, as Trabzonspor did a good job in tying him down until 2023. The Turkish side are now only willing to sell the midfielder should an offer of £35 million or more arrive on their doorstep.
There are willing admirers of the £35 million-rated African midfield sensation, as Manchester City have been tracking him as early as September or October of this year. That shows that as soon as he moved to the Turkish league, his performance shave garnered plenty of attention.
Manchester City are eager to bring him early and already rate him as one of the teenage signings they would like to make. They believe Oulai already has the presence to play in their first team, while the reports state they might see him as a mainstay in their midfield in the future.
Christ Inao Oulai on Manchester United’s list?
As it stands, Manchester United are also interested in the £35 million-rated African midfield sensation, as the club have been looking into the market to strengthen their midfield. Oulai may not represent the likes of key targets Adam Wharton or Elliot Anderson, but he can form a part of the present and future of the Red Devils’ midfield.
There might be a vacancy in the squad should one or both of Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte part ways, as Manchester United will be eager to recruit young and develop players in the mould of their plans. Hence, the Trabzonspor star could be a good fit, especially for the characteristics he brings to the game with his attributes, which may currently suit Ruben Amorim’s side.
