AC Milan rival Chelsea, Tottenham in Sani Suleiman chase

A host of top teams in Europe are looking at Nigerian attacking talent Sani Suleiman ahead of the January window, with a move for the winger likely.

According to TEAMtalk, AC Milan are the latest team to enter the race for highly rated 19-year-old Nigerian wonderkid Sani Suleiman. Chelsea and Tottenham are also interested in the AS Trencin winger, who could leave the Slovakian side in January if a big opportunity arrives.

Sani Suleiman was one of Nigeria’s brightest stars at the Under-20 World Cup, which concluded recently. The winger was thoroughly impressed with his performances. Nigeria crashed out at the round of 16 clash with Argentina, as he might have wanted a longer run to impress the observers.

There are obvious reasons for Suleiman to play in public view, as he would barely get this exposure at the club level. There’s a gul of difference between the Under-20 World Cup and the Slovakian league, although he has been performing well for his club, AS Trencin.

The Under-20 World Cup saw observers from some of the big teams being present, and this is where Tottenham began showing an interest in Sani Suleiman. Spurs are satisfied with their scouting mission on the teenage sensation, as they are probably thinking with all seriousness of approaching.

The 19-year-old Nigerian wonderkid’s deal expires in the summer of 2026, but AS Trencin have the option of extending Suleiman’s stay by a further two years. Hence, there’s a possibility the club might cash in in January, and the winger might make the switch to a bigger league if an opportunity arises.
