Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea are confident about securing the services of Ligue 1 sensations Ayyoub Bouaddi and Brian Madjo.
Chelsea are constantly on the lookout for young players with massive potential to further bolster their squad. They have done a great job securing the services of Estevao Willian, Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Cole Palmer quite early in their career.
The Blues want to continue in a similar fashion. They want to keep snapping up young talent on long-term contracts. According to a report from CaughtOffside, the London club have now identified two sensational talents in France, Ayyoub Bouaddi and Brian Madjo.
Chelsea are all set to make the Ligue 1 duo a priority target for the upcoming transfer window, having watched them closely in recent months.
Bouaddi came up the ranks at LOSC Lille at some pace, and has been a part of their first team since the summer of 2023. The 18-year-old central midfielder has already established himself as a mainstay in their team, and his performances haven’t gone unnoticed.
Chelsea and Manchester United to battle for Bouaddi
The teenager prefers playing as number eight, but he is capable enough to feature as a six as well as a ten. He can even chip in as a centre-back when needed. Chelsea are the latest top club to have scouted the youngster.
While the Blues are ready to try and lure him, and they do have a very tempting project, Manchester United are also in the mix. The Red Devils are believed to be very keen on the French youth international as they look to freshen things up in the centre of the park.
The teenager might actually prefer a move to Old Trafford as he could have more opportunities there, in comparison to Chelsea, who already have a stacked midfield.
Chelsea also keen on Madjo
The London club are also massive admirers of Brian Madjo, who has had a sensational rise at FC Metz. The 16-year-old was promoted to their first team last summer and has already featured in four matches for the senior side.
Given his impressive rise and massive potential, he is expected to be quite high on their wishlist in the upcoming transfer window. Chelsea could look to loan him out to sister club RC Strasbourg to ensure he has a bit more experience of playing in Ligue 1 before making the jump to the Premier League.
