How has Michael Olise fared at Bayern Munich?

Michael Olise has established himself as one of the best players in the Bundesliga since joining Bayern Munich from Crystal Palace in a deal worth £50 million in July 2024. The 23-year-old was among the most promising attackers in the Premier League when he moved to the Allianz Arena, and he has made considerable progress in the last 18 months.

The French international has been excellent in the first half of the 2025/26 season, amassing nine goals and ten assists in 18 appearances across all competitions. Meanwhile, the youngster’s progress has not gone unnoticed, with Arsenal among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into next summer’s transfer window.

London return on the horizon?

Arsenal’s interest in Michael Olise is understandable. The Gunners are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker next summer. While Mikel Arteta has a stacked attacking department in his squad, he wants more firepower in the final third.

However, with Bukayo Saka nailed on as the first-choice right-winger, it will be interesting to see how Arteta plans to fit Olise into the scheme of things. Nevertheless, the Premier League table-toppers have identified the London-born winger as their top target, with Andrea Berta “laying the groundwork” for a possible move.

The report has suggested that Arsenal may present a big-money package worth £105 million, including £25 million in add-ons. While the 23-year-old Frenchman is “happy and settled” at Bayern Munich, he is open to returning to London next year. It will be interesting to see if Arsenal can turn Olise’s head in the coming months.
