Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham suffer blow in their pursuit of Iliman Ndiaye

Everton have no intention of selling Iliman Ndiaye ahead of January amid reports of links with Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City.

According to Team Talk, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham are set to suffer a blow in their pursuit of Iliman Ndiaye, as talk of recent inquiries have been dismissed. The Everton star is in a good vein of form, which has attracted big interest for his signature, but the Toffees have no intention of parting ways.

Iliman Ndiaye has been one of Everton’s best performers this season with four goals and an assist in the Premier League. The Senegal international will be a big miss for the Toffees once he travels for the AFCON later this month, but beyond that, the Toffees are not concerned about his future in January.

Ndiaye was the subject of speculation following a recent report stating Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham had made inquiries for his transfer ahead of January. Those three Premier League heavyweights are set to suffer a blow as Everton are not planning to sell the 25-year-old star in the winter market.

Everton are in a strong position given he has a contract until 2029, as David Moyes recently commented the club have no intention of letting him leave in January. In the context of the Toffees’ season, they are banking on all their key stars to make it to one of the European places at the end of the campaign, as Ndiaye will be key to their chances.

Next summer could be a different story as clubs could make a concerted effort to test the resolve of the 25-year-old Everton star. However, the Toffees are likely to demand a premium price to sell him even then, as some of the interested parties will be back in the equation then, especially if the Merseysiders do not make it to one of the European competitions.

Who are interested in Iliman Ndiaye?

Tottenham have been seriously considering the 25-year-old Everton star for some time, and their interest piqued once Morgan Rogers signed a new deal at Aston Villa. The north Londoners are expected to keep tabs on Ndiaye moving forward. However, the other interested club, Liverpool, may find it extremely challenging to convince Everton to sell one of their best stars to them, irrespective of what the price point would be.

Manchester City are an interesting suitor, given they are likely to use the next window to bolster their wide attacking areas. The likes of Savinho may not have a long time to prove his worth, as Pep Guardiola seeks someone who could play versatile roles, amid links with Ndiaye and Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo in recent weeks.
