Chelsea have agreed a deal with Independiente De Valle for the signature of teenage prospect Deinner Ordonez, who will arrive in January 2028.
According to Sky Sports, Chelsea have secured the signature of yet another young prospect in the form of Deinner Ordonez. The Independiente del Valle have agreed on the conditions of a deal from the Blues, with the 16-year-old South American defensive wonderkid set to join the West London outfit in January 2028.
Chelsea’s transfer business under the current ownership have emphasised the need to keep thinking about the future, and build their base with young players. Over time, the BlueCo ownership have been active in transfer activities, the club have identified and signed many promising youngsters, not only for the first team but for the future of the squad.
There are many emerging talents within their squad who are young and hungry for success, while the club are banking on their rapid development. The idea so far has been centred around understanding whether these acquisitions are fit for the long-term future of the club, or use their progress to make a profit in the market by selling them on.
There have been some hits while a few have been misses, as Chelsea continue to keep searching and signing young stars. South America have been a solid market for the Blues, with the club signing several promising stars from various countries there.
For instance, they have been active in Ecuador and have good relations with one of the big clubs there, Independiente del Valle. The South American side have produced notable stars like Moises Caicedo, and recent Chelsea arrival Kendry Paez, who has since joined sister club Strasbourg on loan to continue his development, having only arrived in Europe in the summer after he turned 18.
Chelsea agree deal for Deinner Ordonez
Chelsea have now found another young star among Independiente de Valle’s ranks, as they have agreed a deal for teenager Deinner Ordonez. The Ecuadorian side have found the conditions of the deal acceptable, with the 16-year-old South American defensive wonderkid set to arrive in January 2028 when he would have turned 18.
Ordonez is part of a larger plan from the club, as he joins several young prospects in the pipeline, such as Portuguese winger Geovany Quenda, among others. Meanwhile, there were other teams in the mix for Ordonez, with Chelsea doing rather well to agree a deal early with the Ecuadorian outfit to get the 16-year-old South American defensive wonderkid on their books.
