PSG are part of the mix for Said El Mala alongside Chelsea and Bayern Munich, with the FC Koln attacker’s impressive performances attracting interest.
According to Ekrem Konur, FC Koln whizkid Said El Mala is attracting big interest in the market, as PSG have entered the race for the winger. Chelsea and Bayern Munich are also part of the mix for the Germany Under-21 star, who could be on the move soon if suitors can pay the right price.
Said El Mala has had a decent start to life in the big league, as he has continued his impressive form for FC Koln. The left-winger is only a few games into his top-flight career, but he is already of interest to some of the big teams across the continent.
PSG are the latest team to enter the race for El Mala, as the European champions are keen to further bolster their attacking setup. Luis Enrique has preferred players who can have a versatile effect on the pitch and play across the front line.
Les Parisiens do have players like Desire Doue, Bradley Barcola, and Ousmane Dembele, among others, who can play the fluid style of football their manager demands. Hence, the interest in El Mala, who is versatile enough to occupy all three positions in the frontline, as he can operate well with both his feet.
PSG have been in the market for a left-winger of sorts, as suggested by recent links to Marcus Rashford. However, the idea of signing someone as young as El Mala would fit into their criteria for building for the future, with Koln set to demand at least €30-40 million for the winger, who is tied to the club until 2030.
Chelsea and Bayern Munich in Said El Mala chase
Chelsea are also in the market for a new winger, and they have been linked with Malick Fofana as one of the options. The idea of entering the race for El Mala makes perfect sense for the Blues, as the €30-40 million-rated attacking sensation fits into their criteria when it comes to the player’s age as well as overall profile, which suits their business model to a large extent.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are also interested in the winger, as they too have plans to build for the future. The Bundesliga champions did sign Luis Diaz, but they do need players who could come in now and develop for the future, as the left wing somewhat lacks options.
