Manchester United looking to sign Jon Aramburu

Manchester United are looking at the idea of signing Jon Aramburu, with Real Sociedad in a strong position to demand a big fee for the right-back.

According to Fichajes, Manchester United are keeping close tabs on Jon Aramburu from Real Sociedad ahead of future windows. The right-back has been in impressive form for the Spanish side over a few seasons, and the fact that he is tied down until 2030 gives Sociedad immense power in negotiations.

Manchester United are still building their squad as per Ruben Amorim’s specifications and will continue their efforts in future windows. With the club focusing on building their attacking setup during the summer, there are other areas still to focus on moving forward.

The wing-back positions are seen as vital to execute Amorim’s plans on a consistent level, as Manchester United are indeed thinking about strengthening those roles on either wing. For instance, they are interested in Federico Dimarco, although Inter Milan are not expected to let him leave on the cheap or easily.

The right side of the pitch has not been as strong despite having seasoned professionals such as Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot there. However, none of those are wing-backs by any account, but they have done a job so far. Amorim is looking at a specialist who could be an upgrade over those two, with the likes of Denzel Dumfries one of those linked.

There’s a new name on their list with Real Sociedad’s Jon Aramburu being linked with a move in the near future. The Venezuelan primarily plays as a right-back but is capable of playing on the left or even as a wing-back. His versatility is what attracts Manchester United to the South American full-back, as a future move is within the realm of possibilities.

Manchester United are keeping tabs on Jon Aramburu

Manchester United could consider an approach to test Real Sociedad’s resolve on Aramburu. The South American full-back may be tempted by the possibility of joining one of the top Premier League sides, but may not want to leave the consistency of his minutes at Real Sociedad to trade for something unknown.

IN any case, Real Sociedad are in a position of power after extending his contract until 2030, which does allow them leeway in negotiations. Hence, to sell the South American full-back, Sociedad will certainly demand a high asking price to begin negotiations with the Red Devils or someone else.
