Chelsea run rule over Kenan Yildiz in masterclass against Inter Milan

Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea scouted Juventus attacking sensation Kenan Yildiz in their fixture against Inter Milan.

According to Mark Brus via the Daily Briefing, Chelsea have their eyes set on Juventus attacker Kenan Yildiz, and they could make a move for his signature when the transfer window reopens in January. Their scouts were present in the stands to watch the Turkish gem in action against Inter Milan, and he certainly did put on a show.

Yildiz has only gone from strength to strength since joining the Turin-based club from Bayern Munich back in 2022. He was promoted to the first team in just a year’s time and hasn’t looked back since.

The 20-year-old was involved in a total of 52 matches last season, and he finished with 12 goals and nine assists. The Turkish international has carried that form into the new campaign, having contributed towards four goals in his first three league outings.

His performances haven’t gone unnoticed as multiple top clubs want to prise him away from Juventus. With his contract running until 2029, the Old Lady are in no rush to negotiate his departure and will only entertain offers of over €80 million.

Chelsea are one of the clubs that are keen on signing the Turkish attacker. The Blues added a lot of quality to their attack during the recently concluded transfer window, but they are still looking for more. The London club want to add another creative option in the final third.

They wanted to secure the services of Xavi Simons during the summer transfer window. While they were within touching distance of his signature, he eventually ended up signing for Tottenham. As a result, the Blues have started looking at alternatives.

Will Chelsea make a move for Yildiz?

While Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers is their priority target, signing him won’t be that straightforward. They also have Juventus’s Yildiz on their wishlist, and their scouts were recently spotted in the stands watching him in action against Inter Milan.

The 20-year-old certainly had a night to remember, scoring a goal and providing an assist. Yildiz was one of the standout performers and surely caught the eye of the London club’s scouts.

One of the main reasons Chelsea are so interested in the Turkish attacker is his versatility, his ability to play anywhere across the attacking line. They believe he could be a great acquisition for both the short and long term. However, the rising financial demands could complicate the deal.
