Official: Nicolas Jackson completes loan move to Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich have agreed on fresh terms for the transfer of Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea after a major stumbling block.

Bayern Munich have completed the transfer of Nicolas Jackson on a loan deal with buy conditions that could turn into an obligation under certain conditions. The deal for the Senegal striker looked like in jeopardy only a few days back, but the Bavarians did well alongside Chelsea to revive the move and get it done.

Nicolas Jackson is a Bayern Munich player after all that he went through over the last few days. The Senegal star had agreed a deal, again, with the Bavarians over a loan deal with a buy option that potentially turned into an obligation, but the deal collapsed at the eleventh hour.

Following the injury to Liam Delap against Fulham on Saturday, the striker is now expected to miss six to eight weeks of action. At that point, Chelsea cancelled the deal with Bayern Munich and recalled Jackson back to London, at which stage, the striker refused to return.

Bayern Munich then asked Jackson to return to London, and at that stage, the deal was potentially off. The German champions briefly looked at a deal for Ademola Lookman, but Atalanta refused to sanction a loan move with a buy option, as they sought a permanent solution to the Nigerian attacker.

Bayern Munich revived talks for Jackson, and the new agreement with Chelsea is slightly different from the previous one. The wantaway Chelsea attacker will sign on a loan deal, with a buy option that turns into an obligation on certain conditions. Florian Plettenberg insists the option could turn into an obligation based on the number of appearances, although there might be other conditions to the case.

Bayern Munich got their key target

Bayern Munich got their key striker target from Chelsea, although they are paying different terms compared to the previous conditions. As per ESPN UK, Bayern Munich will pay a €16.5 million loan fee, which is slightly more compared to the previous arrangement of €15 million. Should the move be made permanent, the Germans will fork out 65 million, which takes the potential deal to €81.5 million.

Overall, he is a good enough back-up striker and probably the long-term option in the No.9 position for Bayern Munich, provided he develops well there. As for Chelsea, they had contemplated bringing him back following the injury to Delap, but they chose to recall Marc Guiu from his recently agreed loan deal to Sunderland.
