Nicolas Jackson offered to Newcastle United for deadine-day move

Newcastle United, West Ham United line up Rayan Vitor Simplico move.

Nicolas Jackson is reportedly being offered to Newcastle United as Eddie Howe’s side are intent on signing a new striker following Alexander Isak’s sale.

According to Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Nicolas Jackson is one of the names under consideration for Newcastle United following the sale of Alexander Isak. The Magpies have been offered the Senegalese striker ahead of deadline day, with his Chelsea future in serious jeopardy following the controversy surrounding a proposed loan deal to Bayern Munich.

It has been a difficult few days for Nicolas Jackson, with his future still hanging in the balance owing to the drama over the recent period. The Senegalese striker was earlier told by Chelsea that he does not belong in their plans and were actively looking to offload him.

Newcastle United were one of the teams keen earlier, but it was Bayern Munich who were very serious about signing him. The Bavarian giants agreed on a loan deal with heavy clauses that would have seen the striker make his move permanent next year.

However, the late injury to Liam Delap, which will see the striker miss about six to eight weeks of action, saw Chelsea cancel his loan agreement and recall Nicolas Jackson. The 24-year-old Chelsea forward has not taken the news well, and after initial disagreements over returning, he has done so since, as any move to Bayern Munich is now ruled out.

However, there is a big chance for him to depart before the deadline, as Newcastle United have been offered the chance to sign the 24-year-old Chelsea forward. Any deal will depend on his asking price, as there is every chance the Blues will stick with their high valuation, similar to the terms agreed with Bayern Munich earlier.

Newcastle United to sign Nicolas Jackson?

Newcastle United agreed to sell Alexander Isak earlier today, and they will need a new striker to replace the Swede. Jackson has been on their radar for quite a while, but he’s not the only one under consideration, given that they are also set to intensify efforts to land Yoane Wissa from Brentford.

Newcastle United are expected to keep their options open, especially with the fact that both Yoane Wissa and Nicolas Jackson are available on deadline day. Any move for the 24-year-old Chelsea forward will also depend on whether there are other clubs interested in the Senegal striker, but Newcastle United have a fair shout if they are serious about an approach.
