Leeds United may look to sign 25-year-old versatile Swiss attacker Noah Okafor from AC Milan in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by The Athletic, Noah Okafor is the subject of interest from Leeds United. The Whites are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile wide attacker in the summer transfer window. So, the 25-year-old AC Milan winger has emerged as a target for the newly promoted Premier League club.
Noah Okafor and his career at a crossroads
Noah Okafor has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining AC Milan from Red Bull Salzburg in July 2023. A native of Binningen, he spent his formative years in his homeland, starting his youth career at FC Arisdorf before graduating from the youth division at FC Basel. However, the player rose in prominence during his fruitful spell with Red Bull Salzburg. However, the move to AC Milan has been unsatisfactory.
The 25-year-old has struggled for game time in the last two seasons, and he spent the second half of the 2024/25 campaign with Napoli. However, Okafor managed only 36 minutes of game time across four appearances for the Partenopei.
While the versatile Swiss attacker has returned to AC Milan, a summer departure is on the cards. While Okafor has struggled for game time in the last two seasons, his stock in the market remains high, with several well-known clubs vying for his signature. Leeds United will be among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.
Premier League move on the horizon?
Leeds United’s interest in Noah Okafor is understandable. The Whites are scouring the market for a versatile wide attacker this summer, even though Daniel James, Largie Ramazani, and Wilfried Gnonto were impressive in the 2024/25 season. Several wide attackers, including Nathan Tella, have emerged on Leeds United’s radar.
However, Okafor is also a viable target for Leeds United, as he can play across the offensive unit. While the 2024/25 EFL Championship winners do not need a striker after striking an agreement to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin, the AC Milan attacker can be a backup option for the centre-forward berth.
However, “there has been no official approach or club-to-club talks at this stage” despite Leeds United’s emerging interest. So, it will be interesting to see if the Whites further their interest by submitting a bid to sign the 25-year-old Swiss international.
