Everton, West Ham United vying for Dusan Vlahovic, Juventus stay likely

Everton and West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing 25-year-old Serbian international Dusan Vlahovic from Serie A club Juventus in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Corriere dello Sport, as relayed by Sport Witness, Everton and West Ham United are keen on signing Dusan Vlahovic. The 25-year-old Juventus striker has entered the final 12 months of his contract with the Bianconeri, and the Serie A giants are ready to cash in on him in the summer transfer window.

However, while Everton and West Ham United have submitted enquiries over a possible summer move, the Serb’s monthly salary of just under €2 million may scupper a move to the Premier League. Meanwhile, French journalist Sebastien Vidal has suggested that Vlahovic has turned down a move to Everton and will likely see out his contract with Juventus.

Dusan Vlahovic and his poor Juventus spell

Dusan Vlahovic has endured an underwhelming spell since joining Juventus from Fiorentina in January 2022. The 25-year-old was among the most highly sought-after prospects in Serie A when he moved to the Allianz Stadium three and a half years ago. However, he has been extremely inconsistent during his spell with the Bianconeri.

The Serbian striker improved in the 2024/25 season, contributing to 22 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions by finding the back of the net 17 times and providing five assists. However, Vlahovic faces an uncertain future at Juventus, as they have signed Jonathan David and want to re-sign Randal Kolo Muani. The situation has piqued the attention of several clubs, including Everton and West Ham United.

Premier League calling?

Everton’s interest in Dusan Vlahovic is understandable. The Toffees are scouring the market for a striker this summer after parting ways with Dominic Calvert-Lewin as a free agent. With Beto the only striker in David Moyes’s squad, the Merseyside outfit must sign a centre-forward. Several candidates, including Artem Dovbyk, have emerged on Everton’s radar, with Vlahovic also a viable target.

As for West Ham United, while Callum Wilson has completed a Bosman move to the London Stadium, Graham Potter wants another striker this summer after Niclas Fullkrug struggled in his debut season with the East London outfit. So, Vlahovic is an option worth considering, with West Ham submitting an enquiry to sign the 25-year-old Serb.

However, Sebastien Vidal has suggested that Vlahovic has rebuffed Everton and wants to see out his contract with Juventus. That may not be feasible, as Corriere dello Sport has revealed that the Serie A giants are ready to cash in on the Serbian international in the summer transfer window.
