AC Milan will reportedly look to sign 25-year-old Polish international Jakub Kiwior from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web, Jakub Kiwior is the subject of interest from AC Milan. The Serie A giants are keen on reinforcing their defensive unit by signing a centre-back in the summer transfer window. So, the 25-year-old Arsenal utility man has emerged as a target for the Rossoneri.
AC Milan and Arsenal have held initial talks to “assess the feasibility of the deal” in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, the North London outfit will demand around €25-30 million to part ways with the versatile Pole, and they prefer a permanent sale instead of a loan exit.
Jakub Kiwior and his Arsenal rollercoaster
Jakub Kiwior has had to play the game of patience since joining Arsenal from Spezia Calcio in January 2023. While the 25-year-old has been an asset for the North London club due to his ability to reprise multiple defensive role, regular game time has eluded him in the last two and a half years.
Kiwior has turned out over 50 times thus far for Arsenal while chipping in with three goals and five assists. However, the Polish international faces an uncertain future at the Emirates midway through the summer transfer window, and a return to Serie A may be on the cards. AC Milan will be among the prospective Italian suitors vying for his signature this summer.
Serie A return on the horizon?
AC Milan’s interest in Jakub Kiwior is understandable. The Serie A giants are scouring the market for a centre-back after selling Malick Thiaw to Newcastle United. So, the Arsenal utility man has emerged as a viable target for AC Milan. Additionally, Kiwior’s ability to play as a left-back makes him an appealing option for the Rossoneri.
AC Milan and Arsenal have held preliminary talks to discuss a possible summer move and “assess the feasibility of the deal” in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, the North London outfit will demand around €25-30 million to part ways with the 25-year-old versatile Pole this month.
While recent reports have suggested that Arsenal may discuss a new contract with Kiwior, the Gunners prefer a permanent sale instead of a loan exit. So, it will be interesting to see if the Polish international joins AC Milan in a deal worth around €25-30 million this summer.
