Fulham express interest in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, open to permanent move

Fulham will reportedly look to sign 26-year-old English midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Give Me Sport, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is the subject of interest from Fulham. The Cottagers are keen on reinforcing their first-team squad by signing a versatile midfielder in the summer transfer window. So, the 26-year-old Chelsea playmaker has emerged as a target for the West London club.

The Cottagers have registered their interest in the Englishman, and “they haven’t said no to the notion of signing the star on a permanent deal, if that is what is required to complete a move”. However, it is unclear how much Chelsea will demand to part ways with Dewsbury-Hall after forking out £30 million to sign him last year.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and an ill-advised move

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has seen his stock plummet since joining Chelsea from Leicester City in a deal worth £30 million last summer. The 26-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge amid hype surrounding him after an exceptional 2024/25 campaign under Enzo Maresca. However, he has not even managed 2,000 minutes of game time across 36 outings thus far for Chelsea while chipping in with five goals and four assists.

With regular game time eluding the English midfielder, a departure from Stamford Bridge may be on the cards, with Premier League clubs ready to secure his services. Fulham will be among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.

Move across London on the horizon?

Fulham’s interest in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is understandable. The Cottagers are scouring the market for a midfielder this summer amid uncertainties surrounding Andreas Pereira’s long-term future. Several candidates have emerged on Fulham’s radar, with Dewsbury-Hall also a viable target for the West London club.

The Cottagers have expressed their interest in the 26-year-old Englishman as they look to kick-start their summer business. Benjamin Lecomte is the only player to join Fulham this summer, and they must ramp up their efforts to add to Marco Silva’s squad in the coming weeks.

Interestingly, a permanent move may be on the cards, as “they haven’t said no to the notion of signing the star on a permanent deal, if that is what is required to complete a move”. However, it is unclear how much Chelsea will demand to part ways with Dewsbury-Hall after forking out £30 million to sign the English midfielder 12 months ago.
