Everton will reportedly look to sign 19-year-old English attacking sensation Tyler Dibling from Southampton in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by The Times, Tyler Dibling is the subject of interest from Everton. The Toffees are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a wide attacker in the summer transfer window. So, the 19-year-old Southampton Winger has emerged as a target for the Merseyside outfit.
However, a deal is not close, and Southampton’s asking price to sell the Englishman may scupper Everton’s chances of securing his services in the summer transfer window. The Merseyside club’s budget needs “to be spread accordingly to bring David Moyes’s squad up to strength”.
Tyler Dibling and his rapid rise
Tyler Dibling established himself as one of the best young prospects in the Premier League in the 2024/25 season, even though Southampton could not remain in the top flight after a horrendous campaign. The English attacking sensation spent his formative years with nearly half a dozen clubs and graduated from the youth division at Southampton FC.
The 19-year-old was one of the rare bright spots for Southampton in the 2024/25 season, and several well-known clubs want to keep him in the top flight despite the Saints’ relegation. The Englishman is a target for many high-profile Premier League clubs and European bigwigs. Everton will be among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.
Premier League return on the horizon?
Everton’s interest in Tyler Dibling is understandable. The Toffees are scouring the market for a wide attacker this summer after choosing not to complete permanent moves for Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom. While Harrison remains on Everton’s radar, they want to keep their options open.
Several candidates, including Takefusa Kubo, have emerged on Everton’s radar, with Dibling also a viable target. However, a summer move for the 19-year-old Englishman may be a tall order due to Southampton’s asking price, with the report suggesting it will be a stumbling block for the Merseyside outfit.
Everton’s budget needs “to be spread accordingly to bring David Moyes’s squad up to strength”. So, while Dibling is an appealing target, the Toffees may have to look elsewhere to bolster their offensive unit in the summer transfer window.
