Leeds United will reportedly look to re-sign 25-year-old Israeli international Manor Solomon from Tottenham Hotspur before the summer transfer window shuts down.
According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Manor Solomon remains the subject of interest from Leeds United. The Whites are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a wide attacker in the summer transfer window. So, the 25-year-old Tottenham Hotspur attacker is a target for the newly promoted Premier League club.
The Kfar Saba native is keen on re-establishing a foothold in the first-team squad at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and he wants to impress Thomas Frank during the North London club’s pre-season campaign. However, Leeds United may launch a late move to re-sign Solomon, with Tottenham valuing him at around £20 million.
Manor Solomon and his English rollercoaster
Manor Solomon has endured a topsy-turvy ride since arriving in England a few years ago. The 25-year-old winger was impressive for Fulham in the 2022/23 season before completing a Bosman move to Tottenham Hotspur in July 2023. However, an untimely knee injury meant he barely played in his debut campaign with the North London club.
Tottenham loaned Solomon to Leeds United last summer, and he was instrumental in the West Yorkshire club’s promotion-clinching campaign. The Israeli international contributed to 23 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions, scoring ten times and providing 13 assists. Meanwhile, his exploits have compelled Leeds United to seek a permanent move in the summer transfer window.
Will Solomon return to Elland Road this summer?
Leeds United’s desire to re-sign Manor Solomon is understandable. The Whites have yet to fill the void that the Tottenham attacker left when his loan spell ended several weeks ago. Several candidates have emerged on Leeds United’s radar, but they have faced defeat in the battle for the signatures of many players, including Igor Paixao.
With Daniel Farke demanding more firepower from the flanks apart from Dan James, Wilfried Gnonto, and Largie Ramazani, Solomon is a viable target for Leeds United. The 2024/25 EFL Championship winners are mulling over launching a late bid to sign the former Shakhtar Donetsk winger, with Tottenham demanding around £20 million to part ways with him.
However, while Tottenham’s asking price of £20 million makes Solomon an appealing target, Leeds United will face a tall order to land him, as the 25-year-old Israeli international wants to impress Thomas Frank during the pre-season campaign, hoping to remain at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium beyond the summer transfer window.
