Thomas Frank’s Tottenham Hotspur have enquired about the availability of RB Leipzig attacking mainstay Xavi Simons.
Following the arrival of Thomas Frank at the club, Tottenham are now all set to make moves in the summer transfer window. While they have already made Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso’s moves permanent, Spurs still seek more quality ahead of next season.
They want to bring in players who can help the former Brentford manager implement his style better. The North London club are interested in adding more firepower to their attack, and they have their eyes set on Xavi Simons. According to Ben Jacobs via TBR, Tottenham have made an active enquiry about the Dutch international’s availability.
Jacobs’ take on Simons’ future
While speaking about the RB Leipzig star’s future, the transfer expert said: “You have a couple of suitors that are looking, one is Bayern Munich, outside the Premier League who are going to spend some serious money.
“You have Tottenham, who could be ones to watch, they’re going to be looking for a right-sided attacker first, but don’t rule out this kind of profile for them as well.
“Historically, you’ve had Chelsea and Manchester United who have taken a look. Arsenal have discussed the player as well.
“At the moment, I can only tell you about Spurs, who have made an active enquiry to just understand on the player’s side the desire and price, but nothing advanced.
“It might be the kind of deal that happens later in the window, we were speaking earlier about how Son is going to go off and do pre-season with Spurs and then decide after that decide his future.”
