Tottenham could enter the market for a new right-back amid speculation surrounding Pedro Porro as they have identified Georgios Vagiannidis as a replacement.
According to Football Insider, Tottenham have entered the race for Georgios Vagiannidis as a potential replacement for Pedro Porro. The Panathinaikos right-back has been on the radars of Everton and Fulham from the Premier League as Spurs are ready to put their foot forward in the chase.
Tottenham are set for a big summer window especially if they go on to with the Europa League Final against Manchester United. Winning the competition lets Spurs enter the Champions League league phase, which will see the club angle moves for top-quality players.
They are targeting a host of defensive players in the window, as Spurs could be forced to make a move for a new right back. Pedro Porro’s future has been under the scanner for quite some time, with some reports from earlier suggesting Tottenham could potentially sell the Spaniard in the summer.
Barcelona are the latest team in the race for Porro, although there are other teams including Manchester City in the mix from earlier. Tottenham have now identified Georgios Vagiannidis as a potential candidate to replace the Spaniard, with the 23-year-old Panathinaikos defender on the radars of Everton and Fulham.
Fulham were reportedly quoted a €10 million asking price for Vagiannidis earlier, as they could seek a replacement or competitor for Kenny Tete. Everton are also heavily linked with the 23-year-old Greek right-back, with David Moyes seeking a new player in the place to use Jake O’Brien more as a central defender next season as well as replace some of the older players there.

Tottenham are the latest to enter the race, as they will seek more information on the Greek defender before putting their foot forward in the hunt. The 23-year-old has played 38 times across all competitions for Panathinaikos this term and has generally proved himself as an able member of their defence.
He did make a brief move to Inter Milan back in 2020 but returned to Panathinaikos a year later. As for Spurs, they will certainly have other players on their list as a replacement for Pedro Porro, with Vagiannidis being seen as an option of sorts at this stage, as he might be closer to the likes of Everton or Fulham.
