West Ham United face Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen battle for Malick Thiaw

Malick Thiaw could have plenty of interest in the market as West Ham United are keen, while there’s interest from Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich.

According to Milan-News, West Ham United are very interested in signing Malick Thiaw for their side, but the defender has interest from his homeland Germany. Bayer Leverkusen and Bayer Munich are keen on the AC Milan star, who could consider his future at the San Siro.

Malick Thiaw is currently a key part of this AC Milan side and their starting defender. However, his future at the San Siro could be under consideration ahead of the summer, as there are a host of teams chasing his signature.

A host of Premier League sides are competing for the defender, which includes some of the big sides in England. The idea of joining one of the best leagues in the world could be enticing for the defender, although any move there might depend on the quality of the club.

Incidentally, West Ham United are interested and are serious about a move for the defender. The Hammers have had a terrible season on the domestic front, as they sit outside of the relegation zone although safe from going down.

There will be some inquest into their displays this season, but the club could also back Graham Potter with the necessary funds to help the club build from the ground. The manager will certainly look to add a new defender, and Thiaw seems like their ideal target.

The Hammers may present a good enough offer for the German defender, although some big teams are chasing the Milan star’s signature. Two of those come from his homeland Germany with Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen chasing the rising star.

Bundesliga interest could scupper West Ham move for Malick Thiaw

Bayer Leverkusen could be on the verge of losing Jonathan Tah in the summer and could view Thiaw as the perfect replacement for the German international. They can make a good enough case for the defender to join them as they might be entering another season in a position to challenge for honours.

Bayern Munich on the other hand might be the biggest temptation from Thiaw’s perspective, as he might not turn down the chance to join the German giants. There are rumours that they could sell Kim Min-Jae, as Thiaw could be the replacement in mind, as any move will depend on Milan’s asking price.
