Albacete teenager Christian Konafe has big interest coming his way from some of the top clubs including Real Madrid and Chelsea.
According to Africa Foot, Cameroonian teenager Christian Kofane could soon be heading to a big club from Spanish second-tier side Albacete in the summer. The 18-year-old African prodigy has the attention of some of the big sides in the continent including Chelsea and Real Madrid.
Florentino Perez has mildly adopted a policy of signing some promising young talents into his squad, and that could be the case with Cameroonian teenager Christian Kofane. The 18-year-old African prodigy has been shining for Spanish second-tier side Albacete since joining them in January, as he could potentially move out in the summer.
Kofane has not taken much time to adapt to the Spanish side, scoring four times already in 12 appearances in La Liga 2. He could end the season on a high note and could make a move to one of the biggest clubs on the continent, as his current deal with Albacete only lasts until 2026.
Should some of the big teams like Real Madrid make their interest known, it’s highly unlikely that Kofane would pay attention to any talk of an extension. With Albacete unlikely to make the grade into La Liga, it’s suitable to assume the 18-year-old African prodigy will be heading out of the club, especially as Real Madrid and Chelsea are among the clubs keen.
Real Madrid supremo and his transfer team could view this as a good enough opportunity to sign one of the promising players in La Liga 2. His adaptability to the country is another big point, as the Spanish giants could offer him a route to the bigger league, something the teenager might consider heavily.
Chelsea could rival Real Madrid for Christian Kofane
Chelsea are one of those big sides who are heavily invested in signing young players yet to realise their potential. On the financial side, the Blues are known for handing notable contracts, and that might be the case with the Kofane chase, as the 18-year-old African prodigy could see his rise within the ranks of the Stamford Bridge side.
Chelsea recently signed Portuguese teenager Geovany Quenda from Sporting CP, as they could view the Cameroonian striker in the same vein. Hence, the Blues are in with a big chance to stamp their authority on this chase and bring the player likened to Cameroonian legend Samuel Eto’o to the club and into their setup.
