Arsenal line up €200 million offensive overhaul with Alexander Isak, Nico Williams move

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to invest heavily on the offensive line as they plot moves for Alexander Isak and Nico Williams.

According to Fichajes, Arsenal are plotting a €200 million spend to improve their offensive line, with Alexander Isak and Nico Williams their two primary targets for the summer. Andrea Berta is leading the attack in the transfer market, and the Gunners are ready to invest heavily in their frontline ahead of the summer.

Arsenal have received plenty of criticism for not acting in the winter transfer window to solve an attacking problem in their squad. Mikel Arteta’s side have suffered plenty of injuries this season with strikers Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus ruled out for the remainder of the season, while Bukayo Saka missed the best part of three months during a testing period for the Gunners.

Gabriel Martinelli was also out for over a month, and Arteta’s attack was reduced to bare bones in a period that has ended up costing them the Premier League title. Hence, the Arsenal boss wants to address the issues in the frontline in the summer and will be eager to see what new sporting director Andrea Berta brings to the table.

The Italian director has already begun his offensive in the transfer market, as multiple reports are stating that Arsenal are poised to initiate talks for Viktor Gyokeres. The Swedish striker is not alone on their list as his compatriot, and Newcastle United star Alexander Isak is also regarded as a prime target, as Arteta considers the Premier League striker as his favourite option.

Liverpool are also interested in Isak, as Newcastle United will make life difficult for suitors in the chase with their exorbitant asking price. Arsenal are prepared to pay huge sums, as Berta could potentially offer €140 million for the Swedish frontman as per the report.

Arsenal to spend €200 million on Alexander Isak and Nico Williams?

Reports are stating that Isak might be open to joining Arsenal, and so far the Swedish star has halted contract talks with Newcastle United as he probably wants to find out if the team qualifies for the Champions League. The Premier League striker is not the only attacking target for the Gunners, as they are also keen to initiate talks with Athletic Club for Nico Williams, which could take their spending spree on attackers to €200 million.

The young winger has been immense for Athletic Club and the Spanish national side, helping the latter win the Euros last summer. He has a €60 million release clause, which Berta wants to trigger, as he could potentially complete the attack for Arsenal alongside Isak ahead of the summer. There will be question marks about whether the Gunners could genuinely sign the duo, as Berta’s role will be crucial in that regard.
