Southampton are adamant about Tyler Dibling’s £100 million price tag as Tottenham and Manchester City are interested in the young attacker.
According to Football Insider, Tyler Dibling will cost £100 million as Southampton are set to stick to their stance on the young attacker. With the Saints’ relegation looking imminent in a matter of weeks, the winger is eager to stay in the top flight with the likes of Tottenham and Manchester City among those keen;
Tyler Dibling has been a solitary shining light in Southampton’s otherwise dismal season. The Saints are on the verge of relegation as it’s only a matter of a few games before their demotion is officially confirmed. As they plan for life back in the Championship, the club are not eager to lose their best talents on the cheap.
Some recent reports have strongly stated Southampton wants £100 million for their attacking talent and as per the latest on this saga, they are adamant on this stance. Whether they get anywhere close to that sum remains a question, with no interested party likely to pay anywhere close to that sum.
Tottenham are considered the front runners, and incidentally, Southampton had quoted Spurs a fee of around £50-60 million back in January, which the north Londoners considered very expensive. Hence, there’s no chance they will pay anywhere close to that sum let alone the £100 million asking price.
Daniel Levy is reportedly working on a deal to sign Dibling, although Tottenham are not alone in the mix as the likes of Manchester City, while Liverpool and Manchester United have scouted the young attacker. Given the Premier League attacker enters the final two years of his deal at St Marys, Southampton are likely to sell, and unlikely to get anywhere close to the £100 million asking price.
Could Manchester City pay big for Tyler Dibling?
Manchester City are perceived as one of the big-spending clubs in the Premier League, although they rarely pay over the odds for a player. There could be a few examples like the outlays on Jack Grealish, although for the former Aston Villa player they had to match his release clause.
In any case, Manchester City might be interested in Dibling, although they are not about to drop £100 million on the Premier League attacker. They could be a big suitor for the Southampton star, as the Saints are very much expected to negotiate on the price, as the winger will stay in the Premier League.
