According to an update by reputed Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Deniz Donmezer is the subject of interest from Chelsea. The Blues are scouring the market for a goalkeeper heading into the summer transfer window and have set their sights on the Adana Demispor wonderkid. The West London club will send scouts to watch the Turkish wonderkid next month.
Who is Deniz Donmezer?
Deniz Donmezer is the latest highly-rated prospect to rise in prominence in his homeland. Turkiye has produced many promising prodigies in the last few years, with Arda Guler, Semih Kilicsoy, and Kenan Yildiz among those making their mark. Meanwhile, Donmezer is already a first-team player for Adana Demirspor.
The Hatay native began his youth career with Çukurova Demirspor before graduating from the youth division at Adana Demirspor. The 16-year-old broke into the first-team squad at Adana Demirspor towards the end of the 2023/24 season and has grown in stature in the 2024/25 campaign thus far.
The Turkish goalkeeping prodigy has turned out 16 times thus far for Adana Demirspor while keeping one clean sheet and conceding 36 goals. Meanwhile, Donmezer’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe. Chelsea might be one of the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.
