Chelsea are part of the chasing pack for Moise Kean ahead of the summer with Aston Villa, Arsenal and Tottenham also interested in the Fiorentina striker.
According to Viola News, Moise Kean continues to attract the attention of some of the top clubs in the Premier League ahead of the summer. The Italian striker’s €52 million release clause has some clubs considering a move, with Chelsea now joining the likes of Arsenal, Aston Villa and Tottenham in the race.
Fiorentina are very much in the mix for a top-four finish this season, as Moise Kean remains one of the big factors as to why the Viola are in that position. The striker has scored an incredible 20 goals in all competitions this season and recently netted twice for Italy against Germany during the international break.
He has managed to keep the interest from some of the big clubs intact, as Arsenal, Aston Villa and Tottenham all remain keen. Chelsea have been added to the mix, as the Blues are now keen to explore a move for the striker, who has a €52 million release clause attached to his contract.
At first the clause in the €52 million-rated Italian international’s contract looked much higher than what he was deemed worthy of, although his goalscoring exploits now make it look like a modest sum for the Premier League sides. Chelsea are looking for a new striker, with links to Victor Boniface among others, as the Blues are keen to bolster their attack in the close season.
The idea of splashing €52 million on the Serie A hotshot may be something Chelsea might consider, as they are desperate to add a new striker to their setup. However, they face big competition from their Premier League rivals, with Arsenal already contemplating a summer move for the striker, although he may not be their absolute priority ahead of other notable targets like Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko.
Moise Kean to leave Fiorentina?
Fiorentina are likely to attempt to renegotiate a new deal for Kean, which could see the club push to either remove the release clause or make significant adjustments to it. However, the idea of making a return to the Premier League might appeal to Kean, who previously spent a season with Everton. Aston Villa could be a good enough option for the Italian striker, with Unai Emery still looking for a Jhon Duran replacement.
Tottenham have discussed Kean internally as someone they might consider adding to the mix as a competitor for the No.9 position. Overall, Chelsea will face plenty of competition for the €52 million-rated Italian international, who might consider a return to England under the right conditions ahead of the summer.
