Liverpool and Real Madrid are also keen on signing the Bournemouth defender in the summer transfer window. However, the Blues want to steal a march on the other suitors by triggering the release clause worth €60 million to land the Spanish international.
The rapid rise of Dean Huijsen
Dean Huijsen has been a revelation since joining Bournemouth from Juventus last summer. Selling the Dutch-born defender has been one of several mistakes by the Bianconeri in the past year. However, Juventus’s loss has been Bournemouth’s gain, with the teenage sensation establishing himself as one of the best defenders in the Premier League.
Huijsen has turned out 27 times thus far for Bournemouth this season, chipping in with two goals. Meanwhile, the 19-year-old has earned his debut for Spain with his exploits for the Premier League club.
