Real Madrid ready to re-sign Nico Paz

Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur must look elsewhere for midfield reinforcement, with Real Madrid ready to re-sign 20-year-old Como midfielder Nico Paz.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Nico Paz is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on signing the Como midfielder. However, the reigning La Liga champions are ready to re-sign the 20-year-old prodigy from the Serie A club in the summer transfer window.

Nico Paz and his soaring stock in Serie A

Nico Paz has established himself as one of the best young prospects in Serie A since joining Como from Real Madrid last summer. A native of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the youngster has opted to represent Argentina in international football. Meanwhile, he spent most of his formative years in his hometown but graduated from the youth division at Real Madrid.

The 20-year-old prospect has been exceptional thus far in his debut season for Como, becoming a mainstay in the middle of the park for the Serie A upstart. The youngster has contributed to 12 goals in 27 Italian top-flight outings, finding the back of the net six times and providing six assists.

A man in demand

The highly-rated midfielder’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe. Premier League bigwigs like Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham are keen on signing the Argentine international. While the Gunners are scouring the market for a long-term successor to Thomas Partey and Jorginho, the Red Devils need to replace Casemiro and Christian Eriksen.

As for Tottenham Hotspur, Yves Bissouma faces an uncertain future at the North London club heading into the summer transfer window. So, Nico Paz has emerged as a viable target for Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham. However, the Premier League bigwigs must look elsewhere for a midfielder, with Real Madrid ready to re-sign the youngster,

Real Madrid’s interest in the highly-rated midfielder is understandable. Luka Modric is in the twilight of his career, while the Merengues need an injection in creativity from the middle of the park. So, the academy graduate is an option worth considering for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid’s intention to re-sign is a blow to Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham. It will be interesting to see if a fairytale return to the Santiago Bernabeu is on the cards for the 20-year-old Argentine international.
