The 24-year-old has done quite well for the Blues during his loan spell, but the opportunity to return to Germany could be quite attractive for him. Sancho played his best football in Germany with Borussia Dortmund, and a return to his comfort zone could be ideal.
Although Chelsea need more quality and depth in the wide areas, they might need to aim higher if they want to win major trophies. While there is no doubt that Sancho has been a recent performer for them, he has not quite managed to hit top form.
Even though he has produced an improvement on his time at Manchester United, Chelsea need better players if they want major trophies. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea can strike an agreement with the Bundesliga club at the end of the season.
