Juventus weigh up summer move for Raheem Sterling

Juventus are considering making a move for Chelsea outcast Raheem Sterling, who is currently on loan at Arsenal.

According to a report from Fichajes, Juventus are plotting a surprise move for Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling. While he is not having the best of loan spells at Arsenal, the Old Lady are still considering making a move for him this summer.

Sterling has played all of his football in England. He started off with the Queens Park Rangers youth setup before joining Liverpool in 2010. He went up the ranks at the Merseyside club at some pace and got promoted to their first team in 2012.

After a three-year spell with the Reds, he joined Manchester City, where he spent seven years before joining Chelsea in the summer of 2022. The move to the Blues didn’t really go according to plan, as he failed to cement his place in the team, and they ended up loaning him out to Arsenal last summer.

He hasn’t been able to impress Mikel Arteta and has been restricted to less than 1,000 minutes in his 23 outings. While he is set to return to his parent club in the summer, Sterling is not a part of their plans going forward, and they are looking to get him off their books.

Juventus are plotting a surprise move for Sterling

Juventus have emerged as a potential destination for the youngster. The Old Lady are looking to reinforce their attack ahead of next season, and they are willing to bet on Sterling despite his inconsistent form in the recent past.

They see this as a great opportunity to bolster their attack and add much-needed experience to their front line. The Italian giants are looking for someone who can unsettle the opposition defence with his pace, and they consider Sterling an ideal fit for their system.

He has the pace, the ability to take on defenders and is also clinical in the final third. The English international has a lot of experience playing at the highest level in Europe, and since he is only 30, he still has a lot of years left in him. More importantly, Juventus should be able to secure his services for a cut-price fee as Chelsea push hard to get him off their books.
